| PTI Racing chassis is a 1/18-scale Monster Truck chassis with a cantilever type suspension. Unlike other monster trucks of it's size, this is an all out performance truck!
The MMT chassis is designed to use any standard 540 sized motor available on the market today. Yes our kits will include a motor. However we will be including a 550 sized motor. This size motor produces more torque for climbing and draws fewer amps for longer run times.

Like the original, standard sized electronic speed controls, receivers and motor will fit fine in the MMT. However, we decided that some of you may not wish to use a mini servo like on the original. So we will be including a second servo mount in the kit that will allow the use of a standard sized servo. Now you will be able to choose whether you want to use a mini or standard sized servo.
The MMT chassis stands roughly the same height as a standard R/C transmitter (without antenna) or about 7 1/2-inches and weighs approximately 3 lbs 8 oz.
The MMT chassis will accept most standard rear 2.2 inch stadium truck rims on all four corners. Therefore the MMT will also accept most off-road tires made to fit a 2.2 sized rim.
Our truck has the most suspension travel and ground clearance of all the "micro" sized trucks on the market today. The MMT chassis is capable of at least 5-inches of articulation. That's enough suspension travel to put one tire on top of a stock T-Maxx tire and still keep the other three tires on the ground! As for ground clearance, a monster truck isn't a truck if it doesn't have ground clearance. The MMT chassis has everyone else beat there too. With two inches of clearance, climbing isn't much of a problem.
In Xtreme RC Cars Magazine Dave used only a 4-cell sub-C battery pack. Since the article was published Dave has been able to fit a 5-cell hump pack without any problems. This size battery provides plenty of power and torque with long run times. We know a sub-c 5-cell isn't common so we've decided to make one available separately. We've also done some testing with different battery configuration and have found that a 6-cell battery pack will fit as well. |
