HPI super chassis is machined out of aerospace quality 7075S aluminium (gun metal in color). 3mm thick for extra strength and stiffness. Many areas of the chassis are milled out to reduce weight without sacrificing strength(chassis is 20 grams lighter than stock chassis). The underside is beveled on both sides to reduce the chances of the chassis touching in hard cornering. An angled air opening under the motor is cut out to increase the air flowing past the engine.
