Rallying is the ultimate test of a road car, taking it far past its limits. HPI started with the drivetrain from their Bullet 3.0 nitro-powered truck, giving their engineers and designers the perfect starting point to make an all-new HPI rally car! By improving the wheelbase and suspension, the HPI WR8 chassis was born! The WR8 keeps the tough 4WD shaft drivetrain, twin disc brakes, bevel gear differentials, and fully ball bearing-supported drivetrain of the Bullet nitro truck. But is doesn’t stop there! HPI has added a racing-style clutch, new suspension geometry, new Nitro Star G3.0 High Output engine, thick sway bars, plus scale gravel tires and wheels to make this car a true rally contender!
    
The new included Nitro Star G3.0 HO engine is an ultra-powerful upgraded engine that’s based on the powerful and successful G3.0 used in the HPI Bullet 3.0 and Firestorm trucks. The G3.0 HO engine is fitted with a racing style 2-shoe clutch for excellent acceleration and throttle response and features a steel flywheel for smooth idling.

The HPI WR8’s 3mm aluminum chassis is the foundation of a durable and tough racing machine, and features cool silver anodizing, composite braces front and rear, and countersunk screws on the bottom for zero interference when going over obstacles. The included dirt guards keep the worst of the dirt and mud from getting into the chassis and protect the chassis as well.
    
The WR8 Rally comes equipped with the same shaft drivetrain straight out of the HPI Bullet 3.0 nitro truck. A full-time 4WD drivetrain supported by rubber-sealed ball bearings, three oil-filled gear differentials with bevel gears, high-strength steel driveshafts and axles and much more!
        
The WR8’s front bumper protects the front end of the chassis and suspension, white preventing the body from taking on too much damage over jumps and obstacles. Its raised skid plate is constructed of tough plastic, allowing the car to simply slide over objects in the road. Its high density foam bumper is sandwiched between a high angle skid plate and an upper bumper brace that doubles as a front body mount.
    
The suspension of the HPI WR8 is entirely new and features solid upper links for simple adjustment, durable lower arms to fit the scale size of the Ford Fiesta RS WRC body, and shocks that are the perfect length for off-road use.
    
The HPI WR8’s tires are officially licensed by Michelin and feature the exclusive tread design of the Latitude Cross S1 gravel tires used in WRC competition, making these tires the ultimate in scale realism! The included full-size tires work in a wide range of conditions, as the rules allow only one type of gravel tire, and the scale version works great on gravel, dusty dirt and even on limited tarmac use.
