if i put a 3s lipo in the car, all stock, can i prevent it from catching fire??
It is always good to not overheat the ESC and motor and to keep an eye on the temperatures but according to the manual it says it will handle the LOSB9836 just fine and if you are running into temp issues then lower the pinion a tooth but it should not have issues.
"Only power this vehicle with the stock 6-cell, 7.2-Volt NiMH
battery pack (LOSB1209), a 2-cell, 7.4-Volt LiPo battery pack (LOSB9835)
or 3-cell, 11.1-Volt LiPo battery pack (LOSB9836). The use of higher
voltage battery packs will cause ESC damage and void any warranty."
whats the speed of the mini 8ight
I would say out of the box with all stock parts it would go around 18 to 20 mph then with a 2S LiPo upgraded battery you'll go about 24 to 26 mph and with a 3S LiPo you should get about 30 to 32 mph.
