RB Concept great engine features a famous orange gold cooling-head, a reinforced competition conrod and new durable material for its crankshaft. The RB Concept S5 L2G has a MSC reinforced crankcase, and comes with the L2G low profile cooling head which improves cooling and lowers the CG.

Crankcase

This RB CONCEPT S5 L2G crankcase has been designed and developed by Rody Roem. It is light, rigid and strong to achieve optimum performance. The crankcase material is a highly developed alloy, which provides greater stability. It is formed utilizing a vacuum system, which avoids the creation of air cavities during the moulding process.

Porting

The internal porting of this new crankcase has been improved and optimized to provide a more efficient gasflow in combination with the intake ports of the RB CONCEPT S5 L2G sleeve. Included in the crankcase carburettor spigot you will find an o-ring system which prevents the carburettor o-ring from being damaged when removing and assembling the carburettor from the crankcase.

Piston Liner

The RB CONCEPT S5 L2G piston and sleeve combination are “ABC”, better known as Aluminum Brass and chrome. The piston is cast from aluminum, the sleeve is a brass cylinder on the outside that has been hard chromed on the inside to provide superior life.

Conrod

The RB CONCEPT S5 L2G connecting rod is what we refer to as a competition rod. It has been manufactured from aircraft grade aluminum and is ultra sound checked for stability and strength. They consist of a double bushing design that prevents any premature failures from happening during high competition use.The shape of the connecting rod has been designed as aerodynamically as possible to prevent obstruction of the internal gas flow into the cylinder, add to this a special oil hole in the bottom and top of the rod to aid in lubrication, these competition rods are ready for what you can throw at them.

Crankshaft

The crankshaft of the RB CONCEPT S5 L2G used special inlet timing for off-road racing. The special drawing of the crankshaft has been studied to offer the best weight balance possible.

Bearings

The front-bearing of thisRB CONCEPT S5 L2G is featured with 2 rubber shields(inside and outside) to prevent dust or water to come into the engine and deteriorating the bearing itself. The 13mm main-bearing is of very high quality and has its line of balls placed more close to the conrod to get a better stability of the crankshaft

Cooling-head

The new cooling head of the RB CONCEPT S5 L2G lowers the centre of gravity to improve the handing of the car and the new shape increases the cooling capacity.

Carburetor

This carburetor is mainly made out of Nylon to prevent overheating of the fuel coming into the engine(vaporlock) when it is very hot. Easy setting, strength and stability is assured. This carburetor will resist the very high temperatures for the off-road races.

Glowplug

The RB CONCEPT RB CONCEPT S5 L2G uses a NORMAL type glowplug which we developed for competition use, recognized to be strong and reliable.
