What is the difference between the Barbwire and the Barbwire XL?
I have been reading that an upgraded ESC is a a good idea for these boats, can you recomend a proper ESC to prevent any problems?
Well they are really pretty close to the same other than the XL is larger so it will handle better and it will do better in rougher water. As for the ESC, well we have heard of a couple issues but nothing that would make us need to change the ESC. If you did want to though we would recommend looking at one of the Dynamite Marine ESC's.
I am wanting to purchase 3 to 5 boats. How many channels do these have? Is there a way that i can run up to 5 of the same boats without the individual controlers messing with the other boats? Thanks!
That's no problem at all, these all have 2.4 GHz transmitters and receivers so you can run multiple boats at the same time with out interfering one another. Once the receiver and transmitter are bound each time you turn them on it will scan all frequencies and lock on an open one.
Does this have reverse? How fast does it go? Does it have a notice warning for out of range, and how far out can this operate?
This does not have reverse and it goes about 25 MPH, it does not have a fail safe but you should be able to operate it as far as you can see.
