This is the G scale New Bright Holiday Express Electric Animated Complete and Ready-to-Run Train Set. This set becomes an animated winter wonderland with eight moving figures and 25 working lights. A special sound unit provides constant chugging (easily shut-off with the mute button) and individual controls so you can hear Santa's Ho, Ho, Ho, or All Aboard, then blow the whistle and ring the bell as the train pulls out.
Comes with a handsome 4-4-0 loco, with an elf ringing the bell and old St. Nick waving to all the good boys and girls on his route. Aboard the Tree Top Tender, a hard-working elf passes logs to the boiler, while his partner hides in the toolbox. On the Candy Dancer, two elves work the pump while the roof top decorations twirl. At the rear is the Toy Shop Caboose, where toy soldiers march into Santas bag under the watchful eyes of two more elves.

"Best Christmas Train EVER"
"My garndpa gave me this train set 15 years ago when i was very little. Today, the train still runs, sounds still work. My model is 380, and it is 1997 limited edition. I also have the add on post office car. We had a problem last year when one of the cars broke and shorted out three lights on the tender but we took the broken cars to out local hobby shop who repaired them. I love the animation on each car, it really"
Recommended to buy: Yes
I need the piece that goes under the track to connect to power source. How can I get this? My grandson wants the train to run.
Unfortunately they do not sell replacement parts for these but you might be able to obtain the part you need by contacting New Bright directly.
Can we purchase just a new track straight and curved tracks?
It looks like the curved track # is NBR384CU-P9 and then the straight track # is NBR384S-P9 these are the only way they are sold.
I can not find the train car that holds the battery. Where is the battery compartment?
From what we are aware of these all run off of the power supply that is included.
Can I buy just the transformer, controls and clip. If so, how much?
Unfortunately this brand only offers extender track separately, they don't offer any spare parts for them.
Can I make the track shorter to fit around my tree?
That's correct. You can make it as big as you want. Just make sure you don't rid of the track that supplies the power.
