I have an old Pro Pulse (Radio Shack when they tried to get into RC) 1/18 scale I can and do use the 370 motor in it I have converted everything to the LaTrax (Transmitter, receiver, ESC, and Motor). Would this be a good upgrade for it if I make room for the motor or do I need a different ESC?
If you can get it to fit then this motor it would be a good upgrade and should be able to run just fine with your upgraded electronics, just keep an eye on your temperatures to make sure.
Does it fit Tamiya 1/10 models with 380-s motors? Thanks !
Yes this 380 motor will fit in the Tamiya models that included the 380 motors.
will this fit the 1/16 slash? how fast will it go? do I need a new esc?
This motor is too small to fit the Slash 1/16th scale. That truck uses a 1/10th scale size motor so you would need to get a new ESC and 1/10th motor to be able to go brushless. We would recommend the Castle Creations 4600 SV3 system.
how fast would it make the slash go
This is a replacement motor for the original brushed 1/16th scale Slash, now they have the 12t 550 size motor which is a much better motor.
would this work in a custom drift build that will also do some street style racing? thank you in advanced.
Most drift cars a based off of a 1/10th scale touring car chassis and use a 550/540 size motors. Since this is a custom build then it will depend on what mount you make for it but this motor would not be a typical motor for a 1/10th scale drift car. If you are building it off of a smaller scale like the 1/16th Slash or Rally then yes this would work for the smaller scale.
