Race-winning heritage.Based on Team Associated's RC10B6.1 platform, the RC10T6.1 Team Kit represents the next step in the evolution for competitive truck racing. The RC10T6.1 Team Kit began life with the many great advantages already learned through the development of the RC10B6.1. Armed with extensive feedback from racers like you, the engineers behind the doors of Team Associated's Area 51 set off to design the ultimate truck chassis utilizing every advantage possible.

Designed to win. The RC10T6.1 shares key components with the RC10B6.1 and RC10B6.1D Team Kits, making it easier than ever to run multiple classes at the same time. Like the RC10B6.1, the RC10T6.1 has new features such as an easy-access differential with height adjustment, an all-new slipper assembly, and the speed, durability and lineage expected of a true champion.

The RC10T6.1 has been designed and built to the highest standard to give racers an edge over the competition.

Team Associated RC10 T6.1 Off Road Team Stadium Truck Kit
This is a great running truck. I have owned the t5m and also the xray xt2, and I can tell you that at least on high bite indoor clay, this is the best handling truck I've driven. I built it to the kit setup, and then moved the front shocks all the way out on the top to keep the nose from diving in turns. Also move the rear shocks all the way in on the top, and all the way out on the arms (lay them all the way over). The fit and finish is very good, I wouldn't say top notch, but its good. First day out with it I was able to TQ and Finish 1st.
Ok, onto the negative. The biggest negative is not so much about the truck it self, more the build process, manual, and body. The build I would give a 7/10. The instructions are not that great, there is either an error, or a typo for the stroke length for the shocks. The bags and parts are not well organized. There is a single bag with a bunch of bearings in it. Alot of the bags have extra parts left over after the step is completed that you then use later on at a different point. The drawings of the turnbuckles is not to scale. Not a big deal, but most manuals show a picture of the turn buckle with a measurement of 35mm for example, and the pictures is actually to scale. Not so here. The body is the lightweight body, which is good for performance, but bad for durability. If you only crash here and there it will be ok, otherwise you will be looking at buying a new body sooner than later. The decal sheet for the body is a joke. For me the build wasn't to bad because I've build a lot of kits, but for someone newer to the hobby, I could see some confusion happening.

Final thoughts: When building the shocks, set your stroke so that the piston is flush with the top of the shock body, when fully compressed. The manual measurement is way off, and actually impossible to do.

Adjust shocks as I said earlier.

Kit front toe out is a little aggressive. I set mine to .5 deg out.

Manual setting for slipper is way to loose.

Ball diff all the way TIGHT, and then back off just a hair. (check it after your first run)

I would recommend getting the heavy duty (carbon?) slipper pads.

I am still going to give this truck 5 stars as its very good, regardless of the issues I spoke of.

Team Associated RC10 T6.1 Off Road Team Stadium Truck Kit
Bought at my LHS a couple months ago, finally putting it together for high grip, added a gear diff and encountered some serious binding, messed with diff height inserts and loosen trans screws, did not do anything. This truck comes with the layback trans, same problem I had with b6.1 laydown, but I was able to finesse it enough to get it smooth, but not working for this truck. I’ve seen posts where ball diff is smooth and there’s binding as soon as gear diff is installed, so it’s not just me. I’ve done my fair share of filing and what not with kits over the years, but now with all the competition in this market, and limited time I have, I just want to build a kit and throw it on the track. Just a let down. Technically what comes in the box works great, I guess it’s more of a gear diff issue.

Team Associated RC10 T6.1 Off Road Team Stadium Truck Kit
I have had this truck ever since it came out. I have driven many stadium trucks over the years starting with the original RC10T and JRX-T nearly 30 years ago. I also do not typically fall in love with the way most Associated vehicles drive, more of a TLR style driver. But I have to say that the T6.1 is hands down the best truck I have ever driven. And that is with the kit setup! I demand a lot out of my cars in the way of handling and typically perform many changes to get a vehicle as perfect as possible. In the time I have raced this over the past few months, the only thing I have ever done to change the setup is remove 1mm from under the rear ball stud on the bulkhead. This thing is flat out amazing. And my sentiments are shared by everyone I know who has built and driven their own. When I had the T5M it would be great one minute, and your enemy the next. Kind of like the car in the movie Christine. The T6.1 is nothing like that. Totally consistent race after race. I cannot recommend this truck enough. Hats off to the crew at Team Associated.

Team Associated RC10 T6.1 Off Road Team Stadium Truck Kit
Took about 4 days to assemble taking my time. Do yourself a favor and get a set of digital calipers, shock shaft pliers, loctite, a bit of light sandpaper, hobby knife and electric driver to make life easier.
Truck is great and a huge jump Ip from my T3, Its very well made, instructions are very good and I’m sure great if you are familiar with these types of builds, if not then trying to get your parts orientated per the instructions can be tricky and had me scratching my head on quite a few occasions. They really should include wheels and tires but it’s fine. All and all you will be happy with this truck, it does just about everything well out of the box.

Team Associated RC10 T6.1 Off Road Team Stadium Truck Kit
Like anything associated it is an excellent product. Problem i see with the kit is it only comes in one form dirt. I run carpet. In order to make it carpet ready requires a lot of extra parts and building things with no instructions. If you are a beginning racing without much kit building experience this could be very difficult.
