JConcepts irst hit the ground in Vaasa, Finland with their brand new body that was specifically designed for the IFMAR World Championships. Cleverly named the Finnisher, its unique design rose quickly to the top of the field during competition and proved to be very effective on the ground as well as in the air.
Designed with aspects previously learned from the infamous Punisher line of bodies, the all new Finnisher body provides an even more aggressive look with included details that are crucial to its performance. The JConcepts ray XB9 Finnisher body is a perfect fit and has a stunning look with its styling, cab treatment, and aggressive personality.
As race tracks evolve, we’ve seen more complicated circuits that combine aggressive jumps and extremely high-speed corners; JConcepts as incorporated a variety of features to provide numerous benefits in the most critical of situations. The Finnisher features an increased windshield angle that provides a steady force upfront during mid-flight wind gusts on large jumps. Its forward cab placement changes performance and visible bias, helping its steering rotation in low traction corners. The side-pods of the Finnisher body have a strong and chiseled look, including a recessed area in the rear that allows another option for air-escape.
The Finnisher’s chassis side-guard to body fit has been tightened up which eliminates the large empty voids that contribute to irritating mid-flight directional changes. The space behind the cab has been lowered greatly, exposing more of the engine heat-sink to allow more heat-escape. The V-stepped feature is a highlighted styling cue of the Finnisher buggy bodies and has been incorporated toward the rear. This allows an additional area that can be trimmed to allow air-flow through the body.
