Works well. Has saved me from some serious crashes. It does bend but can be bent back into shape very easily.

Dropped right in and fit perfectly. No issues. Really helps stiffen the chassis.

When trying to install the cage it would not fit on my Traxxas Slash 4X4. Disapointed...

    Good cage, but not perfect

The cage is pretty well made, and it installed pretty easily. There are two (2) issues I have with it however. First, while fitting this to a Traxxas 4x4 Slash Ultimate (LCG) I had an issue with the cage clearing the pre-load adjustment screw on the front shocks (I had maximum pre-load set). I ended up having to dial back my pre-load on the front shocks in order to make sure the cage (which is metal) did not constantly hit the adjustment screw/knob (which is plastic). So due to this the cage does somewhat prevent you from using full pre-load with the OEM shocks.Second, and this was a far more serious issue I noticed, this cage can interfere greatly with the front sway bar (if you have the sway bar kit). The result is that the addition of the cage actually limits the range of travel for your front suspension. I found that this issue can be resolved fairly well by playing with the setup of the sway bar kit. Honestly though a simple design change to the angle of the bars on the front of the cage (where it attaches to the car) would prevent both of these issues entirely. That said, the cage does fit (with some minor tweaking) and it works fairly well. Those who have a standard slash 4x4 (ie: non ultimate edition), who do not have the sway bar kit, should not have any issues at all.To those who DO, some minor tweaking is all that's needed to make things work.
