This is a Jconcepts Exo shock stand and cup in black and blue. Shock performance is one of the most important aspects of an RC vehicle, especially in the popular 1/10 scale off-road genre where everything matters. One of the hottest new trends involves taking your time to build and prepare race shocks and not rushing to complete the process. When a shock build reaches the important fluid fill step, it's extremely important for each shock to be held upright for the filling process. JConcepts has made this easy with their simple and effective shock stand for 1/10 scale off-road shock applications.
This design is unique, featuring an exoskeleton appearance where ribbing and other surrounding geometry forms around the cylindrical holes used to hold the shocks. The stands are molded using a durable and lightweight material usually used in applications like wheels and suspension components. The pass-through holes let you use the stand from either end to suit your needs or preferences. The stand is housed inside a separately functioning molded rubber cup with embossed JConcepts.net logos around the circumference.
To use this stand, just remove the rubber cup from the stand and place the two items near each other. Use the convex shape of the cup bottom to organize your shock parts, such as O-rings, spacers, shock pistons, screws, e-clips, or inner limiters. Once the shocks have been assembled, place them in the stand and fill each shock with your preferred amount of oil. Go back to each shock and top off the fluid to an appropriate amount that doesn't overflow. Allow the shocks to sit for 10-15 minutes while the air escapes from the liquid and dissipates. Add the shock caps to each unit and then bleed as directed.
